Are you a sporty person or a thrill seeker? We cater to all intrepid travelers. Exciting pedal-powered sightseeing, white-water rafting, safari in Yala National Park, exploring ancient cities, trekking & hiking or a laid-back round of golf are all on offer on our unforgettable adventure holidays in Sri Lanka.
A club with a history, the Royal Colombo Golf Club was established in the late 19th century under British colonial rule. Conveniently located in Sri Lanka’s commercial capital of Colombo, it is in fact, the country’s oldest golf club and its competitive trophy was established in 1887. The railway track running across the green introduces an interesting twist to the game.
The Royal Colombo Golf Club is also one of the only three “Royal” golf clubs in Asia and has ties to The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland. Spend a leisurely morning or late afternoon out golfing on the green. These hours are ideal as they allow you to escape the sweltering heat of the midday sun.
Enjoy guided cycling tours in the district of Galle. Hop on a mountain bike and cycle along the 12 km Paddy Trail from Wijaya Beach. Over the next 1.5 hours, ride past picturesque paddy fields and enjoy a relaxing break at a quaint open-air eatery. Up for a challenge? Choose the 30 km Paddy and Lake Trail, which lasts two to three hours. It extends past the paddy fields, towards the gorgeous waters of Koggala Lake.
For a more indulgent experience, pick the 18 km Kahanda Kanda Ride. Partake in lunch or cocktails as well as have a swim at the Kahanda Kanda boutique hotel. Tours start early in the mornings or late afternoon. A tuk-tuk escort will follow with drinks and your belongings.
Discover gorgeous marine life off Sri Lanka’s east coast at Pigeon Island. Enjoy the wind whipping through your hair as you set off from the shores of Trincomalee at 07:00am, in an 18-foot, fibreglass motorboat. In half an hour, you will have arrived on the island. A popular snorkelling destination, Pigeon Island features beautiful ivory sands and a healthy Rock Pigeon population, after which it is named.
Over the next one to two hours, don your snorkelling gear and explore the inviting tropical waters, home to a variety of multi-coloured coral and reef fish. Keep an eye out for sea creatures such as the Olive Ridley Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle and Black-Tip Reef Shark.
Create lasting memories with a truly magical hot-air ballooning experience. Set off into the skies in the cool of the day and enjoy an exhilarating hour in the air. Take in famed sights such as the iconic Sigiriya Rock and enjoy the beauty of the verdant landscapes that blanket Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.
Your flight starts bright and early at 06:00am, after a briefing on safety regulations. Upon landing, a range of mouth-watering refreshments awaits you. You will then head back to the launch site. The entire activity takes three hours and you will receive a certificate of completion. This experience is available from locations such as Sigiriya, Dambulla and Kandalama.
